Why do ranchers want wolves gone?

So many ranchers and farmers want the wolf to be extinct. Why? Wolves didn't harm them. The reason is because they eat the rancher's and farmer's crops and livestock. They want wolves gone just because they are trying to find food. Well, humans are tearing down our forests which provide homes for the wolves, but if we keep tearing down the forests to put up just another pancake house or shopping mall the wolves will have nowhere to go, and thus they will to try to find a new home somewhere. Their new home just might be under your backyard shed or somewhere near the public where they will eventually be spotted and shot. For their food, of course the wolves will eat livestock. They are hungry and can't find any food because of humans tearing it down. It's just common sense that there wont be as much for them to eat if there is not a place for the wolf's prey to live. It is our own fault wolves eat ranchers and farmers livestock.
